When it comes to enduro MTB ride protective gear, Leatt DBX 3.0 All Mountain headgear literally provides me better-than-average coverage, if not entirely as much coverage and protection as the 6D headpieces. It delivered an exceptional shield and wrapped on the back of the head.

The DBX 3.0 all mountain’s helmet has 23 vents that perform an excellent job of giving airflow, especially for a helmet that works out of its means to add more protection tech, which normally appears to have a weight or airing fine. So, at 360g turbine, there is also very little addition in weight.

Protection Level of Leatt DBX 3.0

Leatt DBX 3.0 All Mountain helmet remains on the cutting tip of headpiece safety technology. Leatt is engineered on a technology that intends to meet the anti-rotational impact use of MIPS, while also improving stability against results like 6D Helmets and Kali Protectives. So, just like the 6D mountain bike headpieces, the Leatt DBX 3.0 enduro ride helmet is slightly big than most helmets to support Turbine 360 technology. 

On that account of the DBX 3.0 enduro helmet, the Turbine 360 system consists of 12 turbines. Each turbine is a flexible and rotating pad and can flex and twist, allowing the headpiece to rotate on an axis without asserting the rotational pressure or stress on your scalp while also sensing consequences from whatever direction they proceed.

I found the Leatt DBX 3.0 full face helmet quite satisfactory but felt that it lies somewhat high on the scalp if compared to other helmets. The shield and protection on the sides and by the temples were limited; however, there was enough coverage on the backside of the head, and thanks to that slight airy feeling, and the plush padding these headgears have used

So obviously, the comfort of these helmets isn’t poor either. There is one especially large part of padding that slap smack in the middle of your forehead sometimes, which feels rather rough and takes a little time to get practiced.

Moreover, Leatt 3.0 Helmet has removable chin bar. The maintenance cradle also soft padding performs a brilliant job of building snug access that, once you’ve become used to that little heavy pad on the forehead or scalp, holds comfort for long days through every ride.

Weight of Leatt DBX 3.0 Helmet 

The Leatt DBX 3.0 enduro helmet weighs about 383g or 13.51 ounces, approximately. It’s considerable from the lightest helmet I had last time. However, you may notice that it weighs about 100 grams and 132 grams more limited than the Oakley DRT5, and 6D ATB-1T Evo respectively.

Overall weight contains turbine 360, the magnetic chin strap to buckle, and probably a big adjustable advisor. Therefore, I assume it’s fair considering the performance, safety, and other traits this helmet offers.

Leatt DBX Helmet Ventilation

Leatt DBX 3.0 Helmet appears to serve great throughout long sunny trails in the hot summer days. Air ventilation feels unimportantly less than other well-ventilated helmets like the POC Tectal Race SPINGiro Manifest and Troy Lee A2. It is well-ventilated by 18 vents designed with two long tubes that allow air to flow from back to front.

This also helps tubes to divide the inside padding of the headgear, so there will be gaps between the pads on each side of the head. One thing to notice is that the padding manages to allow more limited sweat to drop down our faces and onto our goggles during the competition, and that is the coolest thing about Leatt.
