Detailed Review of Copenhagen Poncho Features
1. Convenient
The convenience of this rain poncho makes it ideal for commuting or touring cyclists who frequently ride in rainy environments, or for the cyclist that like to be prepared for any potential challenge. Not only does it help keep you dry during your ride, but I like to think that it keeps me healthier as well.
2. Thick Material
Getting cold and wet tends to compromise my immune system so staying warmer and comfortable is a huge perk for me. Because of the thicker material of this poncho, I believe it keeps me much warmer than a typical rain jacket would.
3. Poncho Straps for Full Body Coverage
The poncho also covers more area than a rain jacket would cover. I typically ride with a bag attached to my top tube which stays dry with this poncho as well as my hands, gloves, and whatever I have on my handlebars. I find this to be super helpful because your hands and gloves can take a lot of punishment being on your handlebars.
Between the rain, wind, and cold, my hands are usually the first part of my body to want to call it quits. There are straps on the underside of the poncho that you will hold on to as you are grabbing your handlebars to keep the poncho in place.
4. Effect on bike riding speed
There are a couple of things to keep in mind if you are thinking of purchasing the NoRain Copenhagen cycling poncho. If you are focused on speed then you will find that the poncho will add a bit more drag to your ride because of the weight of the material and because it catches the wind in front of you.
I suppose if you had a tailwind though, you would be moving extra fast! For that reason, I think this poncho works best for commuters, leisure riders, and touring/bikepacking when you aren’t going for maximum speed. Other than that, this is the best cycling poncho that I have ever used and I’ll be sure to be using it in the future.
5. Wearing NoRain Copenhagen Poncho With Helmet
Whether you’re commuting or touring in a rainy environment, there’s nothing worse than feeling wet and cold after a ride. If you’re looking for a reliable way to stay warm and dry while cycling through inclement weather, this rain poncho is worth considering. It fits snugly over any size helmet so you don’t have to worry about your head getting wet (plus, a wet helmet is not fun to put back on)!
6. Easy to Fold Design
Its foldable design allows you to easily attach it to your handlebars when not in use so you never have to worry about lugging around an extra piece of gear again! Whether you’re an avid cyclist or simply looking for an easy way to stay warm and dry while commuting, this is a great product to consider.
